Job Description : Medical Billing and Coding SpecialistCapable of performing all aspects of medical billing including but not limited to charge entry, posting insurance payments, rejections and prior authorizations.Monitor aging to ensure timely follow-up of claims resolution, reduction of future denials, ensuring accurate payment and escalation of issues to management as identifiedMust be able to interpret payer explanation of benefits (EOBs) to ensure proper reimbursement of claims, and report any problems, issues, or payer trends to managementConduct insurance re-verification as needed through various tools and initiate billings to a new payer or reprocess the claim accordingly, or bill patientResearch payer guidelines and write and submit appeals as appropriateRequired Skills and Experience:Experience in CPT and ICD-10 codingClaims appeal and resolution experiencePayment posting and accounts receivable knowledgeFamiliarity with medical terminologyEMR experienceThis is a hybrid position with some remote and onsite work requirements.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:We follow all local, state, and federal mandates and guidelines for COVID-19.Ability to commute/relocate:Bingham Farms, MI 48025: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Work Location: One location
