Responsibilities:

Develop, review, and implement safety procedures/plans
Provide ongoing safety training for employees
Promote and reinforce safe behaviors across projects and job sites
Record, investigate, and follow-up/track incidents to determine cause and handle workers’ comp claims
Communicate and collaborate about safety and health throughout the company
Create and track safety-related objectives, metrics, and goals for the organization
Develop and train around the emergency response plans
Verify, approve, and submit injury logs and reports
Use emergency authority when needed to stop unsafe behaviors

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in similar or related field
Thorough understanding of governmental safety regulations and industry safety standards
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with employees and departments throughout the organization
Knowledge of first aid procedures and tools
Self-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Minimum Associates degree required or equivalent experience in related field
