Job Description
Reports To: Administrator
JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the position is to exercise sound judgment and decision-making in the day-to-day staffing of the facility, coordinate and develop daily, weekly,and monthly schedules.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Approving time off, filling shifts when staff call out sick, designing and implementing systems to promote good attendance, assisting with staff appreciation efforts, and reviewing and approving time cards• Developing recruitment and retention tactics, managing onboarding and training, managing the staff schedule, and updating staff records
. Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:
• Must have a minimum of 1 year working in a health care environment• Must be knowledgeable of relevant regulations• Must be able to develop and successfully implement programs and services• Must possess leadership abilities and a willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel• Must be able to work and deal with people in a professional and appropriate manner• Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with others• Must demonstrate computer proficiency utilizing word processing, accounting, database, and spreadsheet applications• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position• Must be able to utilize Universal Precautions where required• Must be able to meet the attendance expectations (be at work on time and as scheduled)• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed/scheduled
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
In a typical eight hour day, employee will:
• Stand/walk frequently, punctuated by opportunities to sit• Sit frequently, up to 1-2 hours at a time, punctuated by varying intervals to stand
