Primary Purpose
Responsible for the raw material purchasing of all Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) decorative paper for particleboard lamination processing and liaison with sales and manufacturing operations to meet production schedule and business need.

General Responsibilities
Track all open orders to include shipments, shortages, and overages and report any issues
Verifies all pricing on PO’s and supplier confirmations and manages reconciliation of any discrepancies
Partners with sales for tracking and managing of aged inventory
Submits and monitors supplier claims through completion
Manages the Inventory Changes with a cross functional approach
Procuring best value for the business in all goods, services, and transportation transactions
Monitor frequency of purchases and recommend possible options to increase effectiveness of purchasing efforts
Uses known concepts in recommending and making buying decisions
Perform month end preparation tasks, review and reconciliation
Support and drive continuous improvement
Provides internal customers and suppliers with timely and accurate information
Participate in the development of area SOP’s (standard operating procedures)

Requirements
Post-secondary education in a business field, or minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Purchasing setting, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Arauco specific skills gained will be considered for intrnal candidates.
Demonstrated knowledge of freight charges and understanding of freight costs and associated supply chain constraints
Understanding of Arauco lamination program, PRISM product line, and outside suppliers preferred but not required
A high degree of problem-solving and analytical skills required, embraces a multi-functional approach to addressing problems
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner.
Ability to independently plan, organize, and manage multiple projects/tasks/priorities with close attention to detail
Demonstrated good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Demonstrated CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) experience. SAP is a great plus.
