Job Description : GRIP is a full service, multi-state cannabis company. We do business in every aspect of the industry including real estate, licensing, owning and operating facilities, product development and sales.Our expanding organization is looking for ambitious, driven individuals who are ready to take over the cannabis world with us.General Manager of Facility – Penn/Kalamazoo, MIThe Penn/Kalamazoo Farm Cannabis Operation is a key expansion for GRIP Cannabis. We are hiring for multiple farms in the Penn/Kalamazoo area that are up to 50 acres in size. They hold up to 50,000 plants producing approx. 125,000 pounds of finished goods. The GM provides leadership and management of all operations. They oversee a facility of 50-150 employees with 3 direct reports: Cultivation Manager, Operations Manager, and Business Manager. Peak business is August-November.Essential Responsibilities: – Develop short and long-term plans in alignment with the strategic plan and annual profit plan objectives to drive superior operational performance and financial results.- Establish objectives and track key performance indicators across the organization; ensure continued improvement in all balanced scorecard indicators with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and Culture.- Proactively champion a culture focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), driving a zero-incident culture. Empower employees and drive accountability for EHS to all levels in the organization.- Create a culture of exceeding customer expectations, ensuring that the organization is highly responsive to customer needs. Work with key stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, HR, and Operations to achieve end-to-end goals.- Establish inventory plans and proactively manage inventory to profit plan, driving improved and sustainable processes.- Drive ownership and collaboration across all stakeholder groups; generate forecasts that meet customer expectations and profit plan objectives.- Develop and cultivate relationships with key suppliers (internal and external) to ensure high quality relationships, products, and services.- Drive cost out, meeting or exceeding profit plan targets.- Continuously improve operations through alignment with GRIP goals and a strong focus on driving a Continuous Improvement Culture.- Build organizational capability by providing leadership in recruiting, goal alignment, employee development, performance management and communication. Ensure motivation and retention of a high-performance farm leadership team and workforce.- Demonstrate a leadership style that perpetuates the vision of GRIP.Requirements: – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited intuition or equivalent work experience.- Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX and/or related support functions.- Minimum 5 years of experience of proven ability to build high performance teams, lead cross-functionality, and develop employees.- Strong collaborative skills with proven ability to drive change and leadership ownership/accountability.- Ability to provide leadership, performance results, organizational development, and operational improvement.- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications: – Advanced Microsoft and Outlook skills- Master’s in business administration (MBA) from an accredited institution- Agriculture and/or cannabis experience strongly preferred- Metrc experienceJob Details- $100,000-130,000 salary based on experience.
