Our Brand Planning teams help to shape and drive the company’s growth agenda by leading the seasonal planning processes with the Global Brand Marketing function, aligning enterprise leadership to make our biggest opportunities a reality, and spearheading ground-breaking projects across Nike’s diverse businesses and geographies.
We are looking for a Global Brand Planning Director that is able to work with various leadership teams across Brand Marketing (both Global & Geography teams), our Consumer Construct teams, and other key functions to develop and drive Nike’s global long-term and seasonal plans. And we are looking for a director to catalyze action against our critical Brand priorities through our strategic and business planning processes.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As our Global Brand Planning Director, you will be responsible for shaping the future of Nike brand through our worldwide Brand Marketing function, and driving the integration, prioritization and alignment of our key initiatives.
You will independently lead cross-functional teams to drive the critical work in two key areas:
Driving the Offense: This role takes the lead for driving the seasonal brand planning offense with our Brand Management teams. It is responsible for a) shaping and driving x-functional/x-construct alignment in our Brand Marketing direction, b) ensuring clear decisions are landed across key moments in our enterprise planning process to enable our priorities to be resourced & implemented, and c) measuring and distilling our performance into critical insights that fuel continuous learning and improvement.
Creating the Future: This role is also responsible for shaping the future vision of the Brand, in partnership with the Brand Management VP, the worldwide Brand Marketing leadership team and Global/Geo Brand Planners. This role is also responsible for leading critical strategy initiatives that accelerate the capability and effectiveness of our Brand offense at Nike.

You will also play an important role as a “chief of staff” with a key Brand Management VP, and help to shape the direction with our CMO and the worldwide leadership team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
Bachelor’s degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
8+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, marketing strategy, strategy consulting, business development, investment banking or a related field.
6+ years of experience (2+ years’ experience post-MBA) is required with an MBA/Master’s degree.
Experience in leading complex strategic projects and demonstrated success in leading a methodical process of analyzing problems, gathering information, generating options, then proposing and acting on a course of action.
Proven track record to pull together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussions, to drive critical processes and management routines.
Mastery of business communication tools and verbal/written communication to promote conceptual understanding and mobilize change through storytelling.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Marketing-related functions, ideally with a youth-oriented brand or industry.
Strong ability to partner and integrate with Finance, Data/Analytics & Consumer Insights.
Experience supporting senior/executive leaders.
Proven ability to directly lead cross-functional teams & projects.
