Position : Industrial Metals Customer Service Representative
Job Description : Main Job Responsibilities: Maintains, grows and services existing and new accounts. Partners with sales manager(s) to establish strong, long-term relationships with customers. Ensure high-quality customer service, including rapid response to all inquiries. Enters accurate and thorough customer information, parts, specs, production specifications, and packaging information into systems. Troubleshoots problems, assists in rectifying complaints. Discusses material and processing requirements with customer. Monitors status of open orders. Works with shipping department to maintain on-time delivery, and with production scheduler to expedite orders with short lead times or unusual requests. Prepares customer requested reports. Identifies customer needs and advises customers of potential issues with orders. Keeps sales and management informed of all customer information, including orders and inquiries.Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Metals industry product knowledge highly desirable. Proficient in Access, Excel, Word and internet software. Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Strong multi-tasking and planning skills, and ability to keep track of multiple open action items to make sure due dates are met and correspondence is timely.
