Job Description : Mosaic Management is seeking a Payroll SpecialistThe Payroll Specialist works closely with our senior living communities to update and complete the payroll processing and update . The Specialist will work with the payroll team to run the payroll and benefits efficiently and effectively for our communities as well as make suggestions to enhance our process with the assistance of their immediate Supervisor.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesConduct payroll processing including earnings, taxes, benefit deductions, and garnishments along with Communities;Manage US payroll statutory compliance for respective communities, and assist BOM’s as needed;Maintain benefits enrollment programs, ancillary and 401(k) plans deductions;Lead various project initiatives from planning through execution;Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and adherence to Company procedures and policies;Maintain payroll guidelines by ensuring policies and procedures are documented in a timely basis;Effectively communicate with employees with respect to Payroll, Time & Attendance, Pay Plans, tax withholdings and other topics as needed;Assist with management of outsourced vendors to ensure compliance with processes, requirements, laws and service expectations;Assist with leading and implementing as the Subject Matter Expert for existing and new legislation governing payroll requirementsManage recruitment of new staff;Performing other duties as assigned;Assists Controller as needed.RequirementsExperience in the payroll field.Great Communication skills.Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills (i.e. the judgment of when to escalate an issue and when to resolve it independently)Strong systems thinking abilityKnowledge of billing, accounts receivable and collection processes.Highly developed, detail-oriented organizational, operational, and time management skills.Strong organizational, interpersonal, time management and written skills.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software.Job Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hourJob Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Salem, OR 97302: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Payroll Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
