Position : Victims Services Director
Job Description : Victim Services Program Director- Full timeCoordinate all components of VOCA Program, including staff supervision, record-keeping and serving as a liaison with the community. Provide reflective supervision, crisis response and become familiar with all state guidelines regarding the VOCA program. Educate the community about domestic and dating violence, human trafficking and other crimes. Serve as a member of the agency’s management team. Completes and submits reports to funder and participates in Performance Quality Improvement and Safety & Health activities. Learns how to use Egrams data management system and coaches staff on its use. This position reports directly to Agency’s President/CEO and is non-exempt. No overtime is expected.Education and Experience1. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, or related field is required, a Master’s degree is preferred.2. Has at least three years of experience working with families or victims of abuse.3. Has at a minimum 1 year of experience supervising other professional staff.4. Has experience in using complex data management systems, ability to write policies and procedures and has attention to detail when working with financial data and outcome measures.5. Posses a valid motor vehicle operator’s license to attend meetings locally or in Lansing.6. Be bilingual, read, write and speak Spanish is highly desirable.Some of the essential responsibilities (competencies) include but are not limited to:Provide Reflective Supervision to Program Coordinator, Client Advocates, Case managers, Administrative Support, and other staff on a weekly basis.Forge community relationships through outreach to schools, community groups, and other agencies to increase awareness and expand reach of the Victim Services program and services.Monitor activities and program goals to ensure compliance with grant objectives;· Monitor client files on a regular basis (Empower DB platform) and document results to ensure guidelines and procedures are being followed;· Assist in the recruitment and hiring of program staff and completes all required orientation and trainings with them;· Coordinate procedures for screenings, assessments, and referrals to program and assign them respectively to client advocates;Provide crisis intervention, individual and group advocacy-based emotional support and advocacy when needed;Responsible for maintaining program statistics and writing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in compliance with funding requirements and objectives on a timely manner;Represent agency at community meetings and coalitions.Keeps updated about changes happening at the state level and attends management meetings;Document supervisory meetings with all supervisees on a weekly basis;Collect staff activity logs on a bi-weekly basis and submit monthly statistics (now that we use Empower DB). Data can be gathered from system, printed and report is submitted to agency CEO;Learns all programmatic rules for new VOCA program including all required program attachments and ensures that supervisees understand rules as well;Completes monthly FSR’s and quarterly reports in E-grams paying attention to detail and submits to agency CEO for review;Participate in program evaluation activities and process for COA accreditation;Other duties as assigned by Agency CEO:Other DutiesAll other duties as assigned by the Agency CEO within the scope of this position that contributes to the advancement of CMLF as a premier provider of services for people with emotional/mental health/support needs. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable safety and health policies and procedures. Job duties may vary based on discipline and population served.
