Job Description : Job Coach TrainerSchedule: 4 days per week – 8 am – 3 or 4 pm 28 to 32 hours per weekWe are seeking a highly innovative and flexible person to provide vocational training and coaching to adults diagnosed with a disability. The Workshop Job Coach will possess a high level of confidence in his/her ability to build whatever is asked and a dogged willingness to research and learn how to build new projects. The Workshop Job Coach will adapt the environment to fit the needs of the individuals being served and will offer client-centered services to our clients who need assistance in functioning in a workplace.Qualifications:Good attitudeHard Worker / No Excuse AttitudeCritical thinkerReliableExcellent oral and communication skills.Strong moral and value system. Committed/Driven by helping others.No work/life balance here. Mandatory 12 work days sometimes.Entrepreneur mindset. You voluntarily research to assist in the current/future task.You know how to thoroughly research the Internet for answersYou take extreme ownership for everything you do. You own it. You do it.Be able to pass a Background Check that is required by the State of Michigan.Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.Possess and maintain a valid Michigan’s driver license.Job duties:Develop workshop projects in line with organizational goals and clients’ interests, abilities, and goals.Develop and adhere to workshop project timelines.Assist vocational therapist to develop effective employment strategies for individuals with disabilities.Set work related goals for each client directly with the Vocational and Occupational Therapists.Implement therapeutic strategies to improve clients cognitive, social and motor skills.Document and track the progress of each client overtime focusing on their cognitive abilities and behaviors.Create activities for clients to help improve their memory and retention skills.Set up work and activities before clients arrive.Track and monitor client productivity rates; input data each week.Work with and assist clients in the group setting and one-on-one.Work with clients to help develop relevant employment goals.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offSchedule:Day shiftCOVID-19 considerations:We do a daily health screening, maintain social distancing practices, and clients wear masks.Work Location: One location
