Location: Canton, MI, USA

As the Digital and Social Media Specialist, you will help drive Yazaki’s business critical external communications, including: reputation & brand management, maintaining Yazaki’s social media accounts, updating the website, and marketing communications. The role will collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including the innovation, public policy and legal teams. This role reports to the manager of corporate communications & events. You will be responsible for digitally articulating business strategy, growth opportunities, and competitive positioning; highlighting the assets and advantages that distinguish Yazaki in the marketplace; and positioning Yazaki favorably on social media channels.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Define, develop and deliver projects to enhance the website and digital communication tools in ways that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Maintain a fresh cohesive website design, monitor web traffic and increase online marketing presence.
Monitor site-level analytics to improve the performance and engagement
Develop and execute social media programs to build Yazaki reputation among targeted stakeholders.
Create and / or incorporate digital content including, but not limited to, writing, graphics and video alongside our visual creative team.
Promote traditional and advanced automotive technology innovations, especially in the electrical and connected vehicle space.
Maintain and administer all legal domains owned by the company.
Compile, maintain and file all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents required.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements:
BA or BS

Certification Requirements:

Previous Experience:
Required: 2+ years directly responsible for digital communications

Preferred: 2+ years as a Webmaster

Travel Requirements:
Very limited during pandemic. Occasional after restrictions eased

Language:
Strong English language skills required. Spanish or Japanese helpful

Software:
Microsoft 365

On Call Requirements:
For the rare crisis situation
