Job Description : Western Mountain Transport is currently seeking a Dispatcher for our Local & OTR Flatbed trucking company. We are family-owned business founded in 1989, with a solid fleet of 35 trucks located here in Aurora, Oregon. We are specialized fright company providing services coast to coast & Canada. We haul a wide arrange of freight for our well-established client base.Visit us at www.westernmountaintransport.comResponsibilitiesHours: Monday-Friday ; 8am – 5pm with some Saturday workThe Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative is in charge of dispatching and communication functions to ensure on-time delivery completionCommunicates with drivers and customers through computers or phones, and assigns carriers to routesEnsures drivers are on time and keeps track of status of route and delivery completionActs as liaison and answers incoming phone calls from drivers on the roadKeeps customers informed of delivery statusReviews pictures of merchandise and signaturesResolves any issues from review, pullback, or exceptionsunderstanding annual & trip permitsUnderstand load boardsAbility to maneuver websitesWorks with Freight brokering and accounting side of the business to insure smoothReports driver issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolutionOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in dispatching, routing, or logisticsAbility to handle sudden route changes or delivery issues is essentialMust have good written and verbal communication skillsknowledge of Flatbed and specialized freightMust be able to interact effectively within all levels of the Customer’sAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formRequired Education High SchoolJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:Masks required per state mandate and surfaces sanitized multiple times dailyExperience:Dispatchers: 1 year (Preferred)Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
