POSITION TYPE: Full Time- Seasonal
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gymnasium & Lake Attendant is a Moonlight Basin Outfitters position requiring guest service experience and the personality and ability to relate to and build trust with Moonlight Basin members, families, and guests in a safe and fun environment. Gym & Lake Attendants should be able to describe and facilitate indoor and outdoor activities focused on group sports games, climbing wall, and lakeside kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals in both our indoor basketball gym/ climbing wall facility and at our lakeside beach area. Safety and fun in a team-based community are the ultimate goals of the Outfitters Program.
JOB DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job function satisfactorily, which includes:
Meet and greet members and guests, assist with member check-in and equipment use, waivers and golf simulator by using appropriate online systems/ software.
Check member credentials and inform area rental guests that they may not use club amenities.
Oversee use of gymnasium and lake camp spaces maintaining a safe and fun environment.
Maintain cleanliness and condition of all boats, paddles, PFDs and floating trampoline.
Check psi on all inflatable crafts. Maintain max number of people allowed on water trampoline.
Keep the gymnasium, golf simulator, yurt, beach, and related areas clean, tidy, and organized throughout the day.
Maintain equipment inventory and report equipment damage to management.
Provide safe, fun, and professional tips while outfitting members with gymnasium and water amenities including, but not limited to, indoor and outdoor equipment and climbing wall gear, all within the guidelines of Moonlight Outfitters.
Facilitate member experience on the climbing wall.
Organize and lead special daily/ weekly events using the gym and lake. (ex. weekly dodgeball games, pickleball, paddle board races).
Communicate all concerns, questions, potential problems, and scheduling issues with Managers and Supervisors.
Participate in all required training, safety, and educational clinics.
Complete daily opening and closing checklists including trash, recycling, landscaping, and towel restock.
Make sound decisions regarding safety issues related to capacity and spatial limits.
Assist in special events as needed.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with customer service. Previous experience with climbing wall, lifeguarding, and children’s programming a plus.
Resourcefulness, good judgment, and self-confidence.
Ability to interact comfortably and seamlessly with an affluent group of members and their guests.
Ability to initiate work activities, seeks responsibility, and makes efforts to improve knowledge and skills
A professional, positive, and courteous demeanor.
Effective verbal communication skills with a variety of ages and skill levels.
Familiarity with mountain environments and group activities/sports.
Experience facilitating and monitoring client-based sports-based activities.
CPR/AED Adult, infant and child certified (training provided if needed)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand, sit, walk, for six to ten hours a day as required.
Ability to use various tools and equipment as required.
Bend at the waist, twist upper body, kneel, crawl, climb, reach above shoulders, flex and extend ankle, knee, and hip joints.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., push and pull 10-20 lbs.
Work both indoors and outdoors in all summer weather conditions.
