Position : Immigration Specialist
Job Description : Core Responsibilities:
Participate in the employment and family-based immigrant or nonimmigrant visa processes for employees
Provide evaluation and guidance to Talent Acquisition Specialists and HR Business Partners to determine if foreign national candidates are eligible for Green Card sponsorship;
Coordinate events and educational programs for foreign national employees and their managers.
Participate in Green Card process improvement projects to streamline and document processes using lean management methodology;
• Manage Continental nonimmigrant and immigrant matters for existing and inbound foreign national professional employees for all U.S. locations and ensure that deadlines are met for the filing of immigration extension processes; • Provide expertise to inbound foreign nationals, HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition team regarding Green Card immigration updates, requirements and maintenance of status. Schedule meetings to provide consultation and advice to managers and employees on interpretation of potential actions required
Invoice processingResponsible for the PERM process Additional Responsibilities:
Carry out administrative tasks related to immigration processes including filing, mailings and database maintenance;
Act as a liaison between immigration attorneys office, foreign national employees, human relations team and hiring managers to provide accurate information and guidanceEnsure all related internal controls are adequate, documented and performed correctly to ensure compliance.
Skills Required
Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow compliance laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
Team and customer oriented
Experience Required
Experience in employment-based immigration within a corporate setting
Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills
Strong knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
SAP experience preferred
Education Required
Bachelors degree or four-year paralegal degree
