The team is expanding to focus on research, dissemination of information, and policy guidance around the issues of diversity, inclusion, health, and equity. We also serve current and prospective health sciences students of all ages, to strengthen the pathway for diverse students to access this competitive and growing field.The Professional Development & Inclusion team serves as the primary support for all workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts across the academic medical center. The team works closely with the University of Michigan Office for Diversity Equity & Inclusion, serving central campus, to implement the university president’s DEI strategic planThe Special Programs Manager for Professional Development & Inclusion will oversee the development, implementation and facilitation of new Michigan Medicines DEI training initiatives. This leader will also monitor and evaluate these educational initiatives to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. This leader will serve as the subject matter expert for DEI related training. This role is also responsible for mentoring and coaching of the facilitators to maintain high level presentation skills. The Special Programs Manager will be responsible for the launch of new training project initiatives throughout the organization.
