Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist – SEM/SMM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for providing excellent customer experience in digital marketing, with a specific focus on paid and organic social media marketing. This person is responsible for developing social media strategy, content writing for social media, running paid social media ads, social listening, and supporting Pivot’s own social marketing needs.
Job Duties/Competencies:
Research, development, execution, optimization, and analysis of social marketing and search engine marketing campaigns across multiple accounts and platforms.
Identify, develop, and evaluate social media and search engine marketing strategies, based on knowledge of established objectives, market characteristics, and cost factors, for both B2B and B2C audiences.
Build and maintain clients’ social media presence through shared responsibility of strategy, monitoring, reporting, content creation and management of paid and organic social efforts, with a strong focus on results and ROI.
Development of engaging monthly social media content calendars, including (but not limited to) content for Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube. Calendars should help engage, grow, and educate our clients’ followers in the marketing and sales verticals of their organizations.
Assist in development of content for Pivot’s social media platforms, including publication and strategy for paid and organic efforts.
Conduct social media and/or search engine marketing audits and provide strategic recommendations on clients’ social strategy and presence.
Maintain an understanding of the emerging digital trends as it relates to social media and/or search engine marketing effectiveness.
Development of educational resources for the Pivot team.
Scheduling of social media content in native platforms and/or using a co-scheduling tool.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.
Travel Requirements
There are no travel requirements with this position, though occasional travel may be necessary to visit clients, attend conferences, etc.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum 2 years professional social media and/or Google Ad experience required.
Excellent understanding of social media platforms, including their respective strengths and demographics (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.).
Ability to navigate both the creative and analytical sides of social media content development and publication.
Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Excellence in grammar and professional writing skills are a must.
Must be able to work accurately with great attention to detail.
Must be a good communicator, working with other departments responsible for providing services
Experience with non-profits a plus.
