Job Description : Position Summary:
Facilitate and support daily operations for the Office of Admissions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Provide a high level of customer service to all college populations by offering information, instruction and assistance, both in person and remotely, utilizing various technologies with regards to all student services including College policies and procedures.Evaluate, process and make decisions regarding new student, readmitting student and continuing student admission applications.Evaluate and process documents based on validity with regards to residency, immigration status, dual enrollment status, prior college status, second tier admissions status, veteran status etc.Assist with reviewing, processing and posting of admission requirements for high demand, second tier admissions applicants.Have thorough knowledge of the web-based application for admission, Ellucian Banner software system, TargetX/Salesforce CRM System and scanning system. Interact with Information Technology Services and/or Director of CRM to resolve technical problems regarding above systems.Provide tier 2 assistance and expertise to Welcome Center and Call Center staff in regards to all aspects of admissions.Analyze, audit, troubleshoot and correct various admission related records.Keep personal information submitted by students confidential and secure per FERPA guidelines.Assist in providing students with additional, confidential and exceptional customer service in regards to immigration documents and status.Interact daily with students, providing instruction on Enrollment Services including admission, readmission, residency, assessment testing, orientation, exception to testing, graduation, enrollment certification, transcripts, grades, hold information, transferring credit to WCC, emeritus scholarship, and waitlist issues.Be knowledgeable of and work within the College’s admissions guidelines as set forth by the Board of Trustees.Assist with the training and delegate and oversee work of part time or temporary staff assigned to the Admissions office.Provide training as needed to students, faculty, advisors, counselors and staff regarding the use of WCC online tools (Banner Student Web, WCC website, student email, netID, MyWCC etc) and general procedures.Communicate preliminary information regarding registration, counseling, advising, financial aid, and student accounting as requested.Act as liaison between students and departments, coordinating information exchange.Perform other duties as directed by the Director.
Hours/Schedule:
Variable Hours—Monday through Saturday 8:00AM –7:00PM. Must be reliable and maintain flexibility including additional hours in work schedule for back-up coverage and peak periods as assigned

Work Environment:
Combination of remote and on campus—the successful candidate must have internet access and the appropriate technologies needed to successfully perform all duties of the position and meet expectations and deadlines. This is subject to change based on college operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or GED and four (4) years relevant work experience and 30 credit hours in related coursework OR the equivalent combination of education and work experience.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Skilled conflict resolution skills.Customer service experience; admissions and/or registration experience in an academic environment preferred.Exceptional ability to multi task and fluctuate with peak work demands and high stress periods.Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings/weekends.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability meet strict deadlines.Experienced in effective communication with various levels in a College, business or public setting.Ability to handle highly confidential information professionally.Demonstrated ability in various computer applications and operating systems, which may include Microsoft Office, Google, Zoom, Teams etc.Competency in spelling, proofreading, basic math, filing and telephone etiquette.Must be a self-starter and have an excellent attendance record.

Experience with TargetX/Salesforce.Experience working with database management – Ellucian Banner software.
