Spathe Systems is seeking an IT Service Manager in support of an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government.

Job Description:

SPATHE is looking for a qualified individual to support an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government. The IT Service Manager must possess the aptitude, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and ability necessary to perform the following tasks:

Responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of IT services within an organization or for external customers
Oversee the planning processes required to deliver quality IT services including; the planning processes consider “forward looking” aspects that have a medium to long term impact on the quality of IT services; quality of IT services during day to day operations
Enable Business-IT alignment for current and future IT services in the organization; the areas addressed include Business Relationship Management (BRM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Review, Planning & Development of IT and Liaison, education, and communication of IT
Implement and improve ITIL processes within an organization like organization change, cultural change, and project management and process improvement
Manage the ICT infrastructure; ICT infrastructure provides the underlying support infrastructure to provide the IT services including; management & administration, Design & Planning, Technical Support and Deployment & Operations
Application lifecycle phases i.e. requirements, design, build, deploy, operate, and optimize. Additionally, guidance on IT service management considerations for application lifecycle phase
Ensures the IT security management process which addresses the security aspects of information, IT services and ICT infrastructure
Security management process includes aspects on how to plan, implement, evaluate, maintain and control

Requirements:

BA/BS or equivalent + 6-8 years’ experience
ITIL v3 Certification required
DoDI 8570.01m Certification required
Strong degree of customer-focus
IT Service Manager must be able and willing to understand the needs of the customer (internal or external), and to give these needs appropriate consideration when identifying and planning services, monitoring service implementation, and making decisions on any issues that may arise
Familiarity with at least some relevant aspects of the services that an IT department or organization can provide
Have a thorough understanding of the processes necessary and the potential pitfalls
Effectively plan, estimate, and manage the creation and delivery of IT solutions

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

ITIL 4 Certification preferred

Schedule:

Contractor personnel working on-site will be required to work up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, during the contract period. A typical duty day while present onsite is from 0800 to 1700. The scope of this contract provides 24/7/365 IT Service Management and support. As such, some positions may be required to perform shift work and may be required to provide surge capability in support of the customer’s mission.

Travel:

Travel may be required to various CONUS locations at the direction of the customer
