Job Description : Qualifications: 1+ year of demonstrated laboratory experience a must.Computer literate in Microsoft Office products – word, excel and powerpoint.Ability to understand and follow direction with method testing and equipment usage/support.Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.Work in a fast paced environment and perform assignments with limited supervision.Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical fieldResponsibilities: Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:- Conduct sample testing and experiments using established procedures.- Evaluate, collect and record data using a computer into software applications.- Operate physical and analytical testing equipment.- Document all necessary entries for quality (Standard Checks/Verifications/etc.). Be responsible for general laboratory cleanup and other general lab duties as assigned. Be able to stand while performing testing for extended durations.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Madison Heights, MI 48071: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
