Job Description : Job Title: Part time Elementary SecretaryReports to: Elementary PrincipalBuilding: Parke Lane or Meridian ElementaryCompensation: Per the GIESPA AgreementApplication: https://www.applitrack.com/resa/onlineappSummary: Serve as support to the Building Administrator and back-up to the main office secretary.Qualifications/Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associate’s degree or greater preferredPreferred: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibilityTraining or experience in the use of SMART, MiStar, and Absence Management (AESOP)Required: Must be accurate, organized and detail orientedMust possess excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written formats.Must be able to deliver effective assistance and training to staffMust possess the ability to work as part of a team, think creatively and relate well with other team membersExhibit high level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential information, use good judgment, plan and handle complex projects and maintain a flexible attitudeExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionHigh level of initiativeDuties and Responsibilities: Provides back-up to main office secretaryReceives visitors, parents, and students; answering questions; resolving problems, etc.Answers telephone, responds to questions, and/or routes calls to appropriate persons.Sorts and distributes mailMaintains school website and online calendar.Compiles and distributes weekly, monthly, and annual reports for district, county and state.Coordinates use of the building by external groups with Central Administration staff and coordinates schedules with high school facilities coordinator..Maintains school/staff records.Acts as liaison between school and community, volunteer groups, principal, parents, staff and students.Maintains accurate attendance records and runs reports for report cards.Generates CA-60’s for all incoming and outgoing students.Processes records transfer requests.Schedules WCHD vision and hearing screening and records results.Responsible for MCIRSCoordinates school store sales and supplies.Administers medication and first aid to students when appropriate.
