Position : Security Manager
Job Description : Primary Purpose of Position
The Security Manager will oversee overall safety of staff and guests. This role will ensure departments are up to date on safety trainings, respond to any disruptive situations, serve as primary contact for emergency response.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Gather preliminary investigation information as a first responder to any incidents
Work with all departments to ensure safety compliance to federal, state and company policy
Manage Worker’s Comp and General Liability Claims for the property.
Facilitate staff safety training
Preside over Ranch Safety Committee
Develop SOPs for emergency response
Participate in MOD rotation
Maintain accurate and up to date Security logs
Communicate regularly with Executive Committee, security status or concerns
Utilize verbal and report writing tactics to ensure reliable communication with local police departments and emergency dispatch services
Carry out surveillance of Ranch premises
Ensure operation of cameras and review footage for investigative needs
Respond to emergency calls while sustaining organization of the situation
Ability to review Ranch security of buildings and inventory (in conjunction with Finance department)
Ability to deescalate intense, dangerous or violent situations among guests or staff
Act as an escort for intoxicated guests back safely to accommodations
Manage property access: locks, master keys, communication devices and systems
Be willing to volunteer and work in the community utilizing first responder/EMT skills
Serve as a security liaison for guests coming to property with personal security
Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelors Degree in related field
2 years of property security experience
Hospitality experience preferred
Clean background check
Valid DL
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
Have CPR/First Responder/EMT certifications or ability to acquire them in first 90 days of employment
Adhere to flexible scheduling for emergency response
