Job Description : Portland Community College is accepting applications for an Employee Onboarding Coordinator.
As Oregon’s largest postsecondary institution and the 19th largest community college in the nation, PCC is reimagining the ways in which we welcome and orient new employees. This new position within the Professional and Organizational Development Department of Human Resources (POD) will work with College departments to:
Develop and deliver engaging new employee training utilizing the college’s talent management system
Create programs, information, resources, templates and systems that support employees to be engaged and empowered in their work at PCC in support of the colleges Strategic Plan.
As the first person in this role in the institution you will apply your thorough understanding of current approaches to creating a sense of belonging for employees, using intersectional, inclusive, anti-racist, anti-oppressive practices to foster a warm welcoming experience for new employees.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Educational Leadership, Business or related field, and Four (4) years of experience designing and delivering a variety of employer-based training programs.
OR

Bachelor’s degree in any field and six (6) years of experience designing and delivering a variety of employer-based training programs.
OR

Eight (8) years of experience designing and delivering a variety of employer-based training programs.
Position Grade I
Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $61,412 to range midpoint of $75,227. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $61412 to $89049 Annual Salary

PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee’s Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and some evening or weekend work is required. Frequent travel to other locations is required and possession of a current Driver License. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
