Job Description : Department: Public WorksDepartment Head: Myron Erickson, Director of Public WorksDate Posted: 03/08/2022Date Closing: 03/20/2022Wage: $34.70-$43.93 per hourAn Equal Opportunity EmployerThis is a professional position that is primarily responsible for efficient and orderly operations within the Fleet Services Division of the Public Works Department. This position is responsible for technical as well as professional work, including being responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising Fleet Services staff, contract oversight and management. Work involves the use of reasoned judgment and specialized knowledge and skill in vehicle and equipment maintenance, practices and procedures.With a typical four-day work week, this position includes a generous benefit package including an employer-paid defined contribution plan (8%) and post-employment health plan (4%), a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental and vision insurance plans, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time and paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, longevity pay, and free access to an employee assistance program.Wyoming is a vibrant, diverse community covering 25 square miles on the southwest side of Grand Rapids.
