This is the chance to boost your earnings potential – on a flexible schedule – and help transform the entire healthcare industry, from provider to patient.At Change Healthcare, we’re inspiring a better you.Title: Medical Records Field Reviewer (Flexible Position)Overview of PositionChange Healthcare is hiring multiple Medical Records Field Reviewers who will secure medical records from doctors’ offices within a 50-60-mile radius and input the information into a Chart Acquisition Tool. You will either work within Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information Sets (HEDIS) where you will review “report cards” for Health Plans to ensure they are providing the quality care and services to the members they insure or Payment Integrity Audits (PIA) where you will ensure Health Plans are billing correctly through the Centers for Medicare Medicaid. We accept applications year-round, and active recruitment for these roles typically occurs from August-February. We offer:Flexible working schedule (20 to 40 hours per week)Per chart compensationPaid trainingPaid mileagePerformance bonusWhat will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Travel to medical facilities or provider offices in specified areas to complete review servicesCommunicate effectively and professionally with care provider offices, clinics, hospitals, other clinical facilitiesAccurately and efficiently manage paper medical records or an EMR/EHR platform to retrieve informationScan relevant components of the medical record to support reviews performedUpload extracted medical records per assignmentMaintain quality and production standards required in accordance with company policyComply with HIPAA laws and regulationsPresent a professional appearance and attitude when on assignment – business attire is required for all appointmentsWhat are the requirements needed for this position?Two (2) years of hands-on experience with electronic and/or paper medical records or chartsWillingness to travel within a 50-60-mile radiusCurrent automobile insuranceWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?EMR/EHR experience a plusRN, LPN, Certified Coder, RHIT or RHIA, Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or related experienceWhat are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job? General office demandsHow much should I expect to travel?
