A Production Operator I flexes easily between tasks, and seeks to be proficient at all tasks within their assigned functional area.Essential Functions:Fabricates or assembles electronic equipment according to written work instructionsDelivers materials to point of consumption in response to Kanban signalsFlexes to multiple work areas daily based on established patternsAccurately performs inventory transactionsActively participates in daily in Tier 1 daily management system (DMS) meetingsSecondary Functions:Contributes to continuous improvement projectsKeeps work area well organized and cleanAdditional duties as assigned by SupervisorKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge and skills:
0 – 1 years of related work experienceMust be able to work Monday-Thursday shift from 5:00am to 3:30pm.Training in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred, but not requiredFamiliarity with computers and Windows based applicationsAbility to adjust work pace in response to daily production dataPossesses excellent verbal and written skills in EnglishMust be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methodsAble to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMay be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals.Attendance is a critical function of this position.Work Environment:Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodically.Stand or sit for long periods.Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending.
