Job Description : Apply to be a full-time, part-time, or seasonal worker on a small, local farm!Titus Farms is a small, family-run, diversified veggie, fruit, and flower farm that provides a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program to mid-Michigan residents and strong Farmers Market sales across the area. The farm is situated in rural Ingham County, about 30 minutes south of Lansing.Farming is hard, but we work together to push through the difficult days alongside you in our small family crew. We offer hardworking folks the opportunity to immerse themselves in all facets of vegetable production and CSA logistics. Our employees are respected and valued members of the farm and are encouraged to continue learning and developing skills year after year.Our farm works to invest in equipment to reduce physical, repetitive work and keep our bodies healthy. Is there hand-weeding? Yes! Do we pick lots of kale? Yes! But we thoughtfully use things like a transplanter, mechanical cultivation, tractors, etc., to make the job a bit easier.Finally, it’s important to note that Titus Farms will not tolerate any form of harassment and is a safe, inclusive place to work. We value diversity and insist on a positive, professional work atmosphere.Our Requirements for you, no matter your position: Reliable transportation.Good communication skills.Be comfortable taking directions and asking questions.Attention to detail and ability to focus on quality.Desire to maintain a clean and healthy environment as the first step in a food chain for local people.Grit: The ability to work, often repetitively, outdoors in hot, cold, buggy, rainy, sunny conditions.The ability to kneel, bend, walk, lift, and carry 30-50 lb. crates repeatedly and for many hours at a time.No experience is necessary but always preferred.We understand that you will learn and grow with us. Limited work is available November-April as well.Compensation: Part Time: $12-$15 Depending on ExperiencePart Time = < 25 hours per weekFull Time: $14-$18 Depending on ExperienceFull Time = >25 hours per weekTypical schedulesGeneral Farm Crew: Monday-Friday/Saturday, 8:00-5:00 or 7:00-4:00pmIt is not uncommon to work 10 hour days in August/September/October but generally not more than three days in a row.Farmers Market Crew: Saturdays 7:00-3:00 or Wednesdays 2:00-7:00 pmCSA Site Crew: Wednesday and Thursday, 2:00-6:30Delivery Driver: Wednesday and Thursday: 3:00-7:00 pm (depending on route length). Saturday: 9:00-NoonFlower Crew: Monday 8:00-4:00 and Friday 8:00-4:00These hours/schedules can be mixed and matched based on desired work.
