Job Description : Overview:

This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work at home, on the road or in a satellite location for all or part of their workweek. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.
All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.
Note that our employee health plan coverage is for providers based in the Legacy Health geographic region. To find providers in our network click here. Urgent and emergent coverage is available outside Legacy Health’s geographic region and telehealth is available within Oregon and Washington.
This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.
Responsibilities:

Reviews, clarifies and processes premium payments and bills.
Reviews and ensures accurate eligibility files for third party vendors. Facilitates the transfer of files.
Assists HRIS, Benefit Analysts, and other benefits staff members with system testing. Verifies accuracy of system processes and applications.
Processes data into the HRIS system and assists with the analysis of Benefit transactions and/or processes.
Demonstrates ability to manage confidential data with a high level of integrity.
Provides assistance to the HR Answer Center on benefit related matters and resolves/responds to complex technical benefits issues.
Participates in compiling and summarizing data and auditing the integrity of benefit data and year-end activity.
Participates in developing communication materials, surveys, etc.
May review, research and prepare process level appeals.
Participates in Benefit program activities such as Open Enrollment, New Employee Orientation, etc.
Participates in annual Plan audits.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements. Professional certification in specialty area preferred.
Experience:
One-year experience utilizing customer service skills and comparable technical processing skills required. One to three years applicable HR generalist experience preferred.
Skills:
Requires excellent organizational, written and oral communication, and customer service skills to be able to interact effectively with all internal and external customers. Requires tact and diplomacy skills to relate to a broad spectrum of personnel and members of the community.
Working knowledge of laws, acts, and regulations relating to Human Resources.
Ability to collect, report, and participate in presenting data and information.
Demonstrated knowledge of CQI processes and tools.
Ability to utilize effective and appropriate judgment and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of and experience with personal computers, word processing software, and all HR applications.
