Position : Membership & Outreach Coordinator
Job Description : Role and Responsibilities
The Membership & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing new membership leads, enrolling new members and building community for a brand new fitness & wellness facility opening in Summer 2022. This person will support the marketing team in lead generation efforts by executing social media campaigns, email marketing, event and outreach initiatives, sales, live chat, and monthly reporting. This person is responsible to both current and prospective members maintaining Active’s highest standards of customer service.
Specific Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Collaborate with Active’s Global Marketing Team, Director of Sales, and Site Management Team on initiatives to achieve new membership goals
Support strategic marketing plans, promotional calendars, and collateral creation
Provide marketing support across digital marketing platforms, including website, video, live chat, email, and social media to drive sales and improve the online consumer experience
Manage various social media accounts and brand reputation
Draft and distribute Member monthly e-newsletter to membership base and other materials to create traffic flow of prospective members
Organize and execute various events including grand openings, community events, corporate events, etc.
Coordinate and staff local outreach events to promote the Club’s services and membership sales
Actively develop leads for prospective members
Develop relationships and encourage member referrals
Respond to telephone and e-mail membership inquiries, booking and maintaining appointments for prospective members for virtual and in-person tours
Provide prospective members with an enthusiastic and informative tour, educating educate prospective members on the benefits of health and wellness
Present approved membership options and prices to prospective members
Track and report daily leads and membership sales
Prepare monthly marketing and sales report collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data
Maintain and submit a commission log each pay period, including all necessary backup paperwork such as copies of membership applications
Attend management meetings, training, and retreats
Other Functions
Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness
Promote club services and activities
Perform routine maintenance of equipment
Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean
Attend Active Wellness site meetings and training
Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting
Requirements:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Previous health club personal training experience is a plus.
AA degree or equivalent education and experience
2 years of sales experience
Communication skills, basic computer skills, phone etiquette, customer service orientated, committed to fitness industry/environment
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service
Strong verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills, customer service skills, results-oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industry
AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
Proof of citizenship or legal status
Physical and Working Conditions
Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others
Ability to stand for several hours in the same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs
Fitness club environment
Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
