The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is at the forefront of transforming services to provide collaborative, innovative and transparent Human Resources (HR) services to optimize our workforce. If you are interested in being part of an innovative transformation team, we have a wonderful opportunity! We are currently seeking an HR professional to join our team as a Recruitment Support Specialists (Human Resource Analyst 1). This recruitment will be used to fill two positions (1 Permanent & 1 Limited Duration). This position is management service, non-supervisory and is not represented by a union.

What you will do:
You will provide recruitment sourcing that will enhance OHA to hire talent from various diverse backgrounds, assist with background check and a varied of recruitment support responsibilities. You will work with hiring managers, other human resources and recruitment professionals, education institutions, community organizations, and other networking opportunities to support OHA Workforce equity and diversity strategies. You will also provide human resources coordination and professional level support as needed across the recruitment, classification and compensation business unit.

What we are looking for
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority, OR
Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one-year Human Resource experience; OR
Three years Human Resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience
The State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) certification, awarded by the Oregon Chief Human Resources Office, substitutes for six months of human resource professional-level experience. Valid Certification as a SHRM Certified Professional awarded by a nationally recognized organization, substitutes for one year of human resource professional-level experience.
Skill in using a personal computer to enter and retrieve information, including word processing and electronic mail systems
Basic knowledge of personnel laws, rules and regulations
Skill in communicating effectively verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences to explain processes and decisions
Ability to analyze specific situations, develop conclusions and recommendations, and communicate such recommendations clearly
Ability to work and lead effectively in a cross-cultural or multi-cultural organization ensuring equity and inclusion initiatives are implemented and measured across the organization
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and carry responsibilities independently with an awareness of human resources services issues and sensitivities
Experience in creating and maintaining a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity among team members and the people we serve
