Job Description : Vehicle Test Technician: support for Electrical Power Steering at customer facility (Milford, MI) 70-80% of time onsite at GM/30% at BoschElectric Power Steering (EPS) system support in vehicle at customerEPS systems support on customer performance benchesData and Error code collection in vehicleFlashing/updating EPS software and calibrationsMaintains vehicles in the AS development and pool vehicle fleets including maintenance and serviceInterfaces with System Application engineers to understand the testing needs and ensures that the correct measurement equipment is installed into vehicles as neededInstalls test parts into vehicles to support development testingCreates wiring harnesses, cables, break-out boxes, etc as needed to support the Bosch engineering organizationAssists in the maintenance and repair of the test department test benches, as needed to maintain validation schedulesConfers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problemsQualification::Associate’s Degree in related field2+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred:Solid problem solving and analytical skillsFamiliarity with design and technical features of electronic and/or electromechanical productsFamiliarity with CAN protocol, vehicle bus, ECU flashing, OBD, diagnostic toolsKnowledge in Canape, Canalyzer, INCASkills: Software Tools, ECU flashing, mechanical aptitude, Vehicle BUS, canalyzer, troubleshoot electrical, troubleshooting electronics, troubleshooting softwareJob Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Plymouth, MI 48170: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: One location
