For more information on our company, please visit: http://www.goterrafirma.comPOSITION SUMMARYConcrete Finishers will be responsible for assisting crew in each concrete job to completion; helping ensure quality, safety, and efficiencyDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Smooth out, level and finish freshly poured concrete at residential construction sitesSmooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is levelHelp set formsRub concrete with sponge-rubber float or burlapLevel using special blades, ensuring all lumps and bubbles are smoothed overUse wood or plastic forms to shape the concrete and hold it until it is setSmooth high spots and fill depressionsWash away excess concreteFinish corners by handUse machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pocketsUse groovers and hand trowels to spread concreteExcavate and prepare the baseInstall masonry according to specificationsUse chemical additives to speed up drying process if necessaryMeasure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materialsAdhere to safety policies and proceduresAssist on other company projects, not solely related to concreteNECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICSAbility to maintain 50-hour work week during busy seasonsPhysical ability to lift and exert force frequentlyAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screenExcellent communicationRegular and punctual attendanceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1. High School Diploma or GED preferred2. 2-4 years of concrete and construction experience3. A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field4.
