Job Description : Regional Director of Operations: Food/Dining Services & EVS Health $125k MICHIGANOur client is a large organization that is a food/dining and environmental services contractor. A critical role, an extension of care provided for people that are in healthcare facilities. CARE being an important act. Our client prides its culture of compassion and the servant hearts of their team members.Our client is currently looking to fill this important leadership role which provides logistical and operational support for their contracts with 10 hospitals in the North West Michigan area for food/dining services and environment services (EVS).Location: This role is remote but the candidate must reside in Michigan to travel the North West part of the stateReports to Regional Vice PresidentDirect reports: 3 EVS Directors and 3 Food and Dining Directors-900 employeesHands on role, critical executive to the team they work with and the contracts they manage and people they serveTravel requirements: Travel is all local but is at least 75% of the time therefore you will have a home officeIndustry: Healthcare / Hospitals / Hospitality Food / Environmental Services (EVS)Compensation $115,000-$125,000 range plus discretionary bonus up to $50,000!Car is provided with phone and laptopRelocation Assistance: Discretionary for preferred locationsFull benefits!All 10 hospitals are faith based offering a culture of love and compassion, therefore you as a leader must ensure that all contracts are delivered with the same philosophy.Leadership Style: Servant Leadership, collaborative, transformational, organized, strategic, result oriented, excellent communication, creates trustworthy relationships, excellent communication, quality excellence in everything you do, performance driven, excited to do what you do, believe in making impactful differences, motivated.Organization Culture: Passionate and compassionate. Time management skills will be importantDegree Needed: BS Degree in Food Services, Business, Management or other related field in Healthcare. Masters degree preferredCOVID: Vaccine required due to vulnerable clientele you are serving unless exemptionOVERALL RESPONSIBILITIESOur client is a food services contractor for Healthcare medical facilities, that are faith based organizations, passionate about providing excellent healthcare to all — with dignity and empathy. Therefore, our client employs talented individuals who share this passion also.This position is responsible for the overall success of these 5 operations ensuring delivery service promises of the contracts are met, contracts are developed, positive customer relationships maintained, renewal of contracts retained, teams are performing and costs are not exceeding budgeted level, well planned strategies are executed and most importantly the hospital management are thrilled with the performance and delivery of the contract objectives. There is a great trust between the hospital and our client that their teams will meet all obligations of the contract operating in an environment of compliance where policies and procedures are followed, resulting in positive patient satisfaction surveys.This is a going to be both a rewarding and challenging role, at so many levels and will attract a capable leader that has that servant heart! a critical role for the organization.Occasionally there will be new business development therefore you would participate in new customer contract relationships and also renegotiation of existing service contractsEXPERIENCE NEEDED3 years proven experience at the Director level in food services – having EVS experience is a plusHealthcare industry experience is a plusKnowledgeable on safety first protocols, developing policies and procedures, regulatory complianceMust be operationally focused and have managed multiple locations in the past, in environments serving people such as Healthcare environments, country clubs, restaurants etcA strong understanding of supply chain management for food servicesContinuous improvement philosophy with proven quality outcomesServant leadership style with proven ability to manage, mentor, grow and retain teamsExcellent communication skillsFiscal Management: these are high volume accounts $10M of more therefore you must have a strong understanding of budgeting, reporting variances, strategic planning and monthly reporting of Profit and Loss statement variancesExcellent management of customer relationships.
