Job Description : Charla Ray Interior Design, a client‐focused boutique interior design firm, has an immediate opening for a junior designer. This is a residential firm focusing on high‐end residential kitchen and bath design, renovations, and furnishings. I have a client‐driven design style and value building long term relationships with clients.As a Junior Interior Designer, your responsibilities include: Working alongside lead designer to develop project designMeasuring and documenting site conditionsDrafting site conditions and creating construction documentsCreating mood boardsDeveloping furniture plansCreating digital design presentationsCreating instruction packet for 3D rendering creationSpecifying furnishings including designing custom furnishings and soft goodsDesigning window treatments and coordinate execution and installCreating specification booksOrdering samplesPicking up and dropping off products and materialsCoordinating project details with vendors, tradespeople, and contractorsManaging and assisting in all product procurement and installationAssisting in styling photo shootsAssisting in updating Instagram posts and storiesJob Requirements: Minimum one year of experience working at an interior design or architecture firmAutoCad ProficiencyAdobe InDesign and/or Canva ProficiencyMicrosoft PowerPoint and Excel proficiencyMust have a portfolio to presentFamiliar with brands and to the trade vendorsEducation/degree in Interior Design or Interior ArchitectureKitchen and bath design experience preferred but not requiredExperience with MyDoma Studio and Asana or Click up preferred but not requiredProven ability to self‐manage and work in a team settingHighly organized and detail orientedPassionate about providing our clients with premium level customer serviceProactive and thorough communicatorCollaborative and enjoy working in a small teamComfortable working on multiple projects at onceThis position is a combination of work from home, working together virtually, and working together in the field. Expect to be in‐person most of the time at first. Once you are running on your own, we can arrange for a more flexible schedule to work remotely part‐time.Reliable Vehicle ‐ In addition to commuting, a big part of this job is doing things like site visits, picking up samples, visiting showrooms, meeting tradespeople, etc. All of this requires a reliable vehicle. You will be reimbursed for your mileage while working.Physical Requirements ‐ From time to time we have measurements, installation, and sourcing days that require physical work.
