Position : Operations Manager
Job Description : Walter E Nelson Company, the largest family-owned janitorial supply, paper and chemical distributor in the Northwest, is looking for an Operations Manager in our Portland Oregon facility to lead our day-to-day operations in the Warehouse and Transportation Divisions.Responsibilities include reviewing and establishing procedures to optimize accuracy and production. Work directly with IT to research and implement new technologies to improve work flows and inventory control. Must have good communication skills and the ability to problem solve within a team environment. Develop talent to help drive company goals, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.Examples of job duties but not a complete Job Description:· Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory properly rotated· Coordinates the handling of returns and special orders.· Supervises and ensures picking and loading accuracy· Ensures the bar coding, bin location, receiving program is followed to a high level of accuracy and primary/secondary bin locations current· Implements new policies and proceduresBenefits include:· 401K· Health insurance including Vision and Dental· Health Savings Account· Paid time off· Disability Plan· Life insuranceQualifications:· EDUCATION – Associate degree (A.A) from two-year college or technical school, 3 years supervisory role in warehouse operations or equivalent combination of education and experience· Supervisory experience of multiple people· WMS, Routing Technology experience a plusJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to $72,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: One location
