Spirits.Our Mission: We celebrate the HERITAGE of our communities through the power of our award-winning spirits, visually intoxicating experiences and innovative programs, so that our customers become family, everywhere.Job Purpose: The Production Manager deals with and oversees all aspects of the distillery, from delivery of raw materials to finished product leaving the facility. Our production is diverse and growing and requires a strong support staff and understanding of the daily operations within and outside of the distillery. An ideal Production Manager is flexible and knowledgeable regarding the many different aspects of production as well as of our company.Who we want on our team: An individual who takes personal and professional pride in producing award winning Spirits, with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality, and a can-do attitude.Qualifications: 3+ years of full-time distillery management or plant management experience.College degree or equivalent experience.Ability to be on feet all day and lift at least 50 lbs2+ years experience driving forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks.Experience operating Inventory Database Management Systems.Ability to represent HDC in a professional manner, both in writing and in person.Obtain current state alcohol pouring card and food handling card.Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in and coordinates all production operation schedules including milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, barrel aging, bottling, and blending.Has knowledge of production processes, how and when all equipment is used, and supervises cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment to maintain consistent production quality.Forecasting, inventory management, TTB reporting, and record keeping of all production operations with the use of Orchestrated Spirits.Responsible for assisting and communicating material planning, movement, and organization.Ensures all production processes are done in a safe and efficient manner.Responsible for quality assurance in all processes and assures quality control, recipes, and flavor profiles are met for each spirit leaving the facility.Acts as facility Safety Manager and oversees production training on maintaining quality, maintenance, sanitation, and process management.Implements Leadership development programs, safety protocol, and new processes designed for production staff development.Maintain open communication and make recommendations and suggestions for equipment maintenance, necessary training, or other improvements as identified.Expectations: Hard working, independent multi-tasker that sets the highest professional example in daily duties for both internal projects and those that serve our customers and clients.Ability to address any questions, concerns, or problems to Production Leadership.Professionally represent HDC at all times.Provide support to any other coworker or customer as needed.Appropriate dress that also meets safety standards for different production aspects and also for special events.Working Conditions: The Production Manager position is located in a working distillery. Conditions can range from warm in the summer to cooler in the winter. Hours may vary from morning to evening, weekdays and weekends, based on production schedules and special events.
