While the COVID-19 pandemic has presented an unprecedented challenge for Queensland Rail and the public transport sector, we have exciting plans for the future. There are massive changes planned across this next decade that require the support and expertise of a strong Information Security and Governance team who work Collaboratory within our Strategy, Planning and Transformation function.
Reporting to the Group Senior Manager Information Security and Governance, you will lead and manage the delivery of an Information Management Governance Programme supporting an outcome to be an open and connected organisation with better insight to the responsibility for Information Management, Governance and frameworks.
We will be asking you to help us define business problems and develop solutions that challenge the way we think and lead us through 2022 and beyond.
Your positive presence will be visible right across the organisation. Facilitating teamwork and creating a collaborative environment to foster ideas; supporting and mentoring teams through the transformation journey. Your impact will be evident in the strong, influential, and professional relationships you foster with key stakeholders.
You will be a key member of the Information and Digital Management team, providing professional advice to senior management in relation to IM practices, strategies, policies, innovations and service improvements. Your advocacy for innovation will be clear and your ability to stay focussed on the big picture and drive performance will ensure your success in this role.

Position Description
We are looking for candidates who have:
High level of skill, leadership and experience in the development of Information Management principles and outcomes, including ISMS, Data Management frameworks, applicability of standards.
Demonstrated experience and record of achievement in Information Management, pertaining to policy and document management, compliance and obligation management, record keeping.
Proven track record in maturing an organisations Information Management processes and tools.
Change agent who engages effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
Ability to raise awareness and continuously improve on Information Management practices and adoption
Extensive knowledge and skill in the leadership and execution of roadmaps and managing development of IT blueprint and system standards.
Extensive knowledge of information security management systems and information security policies and standards, technologies.
High level of skill in leading transformation and change within a large and complex organisation.
Extensive knowledge of commercial practices to manage risk and return in a complex commercial environment.
High level of skill and demonstrated ability to influence and cultivate productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to drive business risk mitigation and assurance outcomes.
Experience with information ecosystems, data management structures and associated technologies
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous
