Responsible for crafting, handling, implementing, maintaining, and supporting computer communication networks within or between organizations to ensure secure network, maximum performance, and availability to users.
What will your job look like?
Configure, install & Troubleshoot Commvault backup environment
Perform backup and storage maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Provide Level-3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the backup and storage infrastructure
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
All you need is…
Proven hands-on experience with Commvault Simpana at least 5 years
Solid understanding of the client and client less backup
Deep understanding of TCP/IP and FC protocols
Should able to install, Configure & Perform deep Troubleshooting of
Commvault CommServer
Media servers
Backup agents and VMware agentless backup
Good Knowledge of Linux, Windows Servers, VMware VC and ESXi servers
Good knowledge and proven experience writing scripts using at least one of: UNIX SHELL, Phyton, Perl, ec.
Working on Amazon and or Azure Cloud would be added advantage.
Good knowledge about of at least one storage system of HDS, Dell-EMC, IBM or HPE.
University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
Excellent communication skills
Teamwork skills and the ability to feel comfortable working with different teams, clients and groups of staff across an organization.
Willing to work on weekend and on call support.
