EMPLOYEES WORKING THE ENTIRE SUMMER SCHOOL WILL BE AWARDED A $300 STIPEND AT THE CONCLUSION OF PROGRAM IN JULY.

Job Purpose Statement:
To provide instructional assistance and support to children Pre-K – Grade 5 attending Summer School.
Job Qualifications: Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Spanish Speaker – Preferred
72 quarter hours of accredited college or equivalent education or successfully passed Work Keys Test in the areas of Math, Reading, and Business Writing Preferred (Required for Title I Funded Programs)
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
Valid Driver’s License and evidence of insurability
Successfully pass district background screening
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to understand the phases and temperaments of children and young adolescents at different growth and maturity levels.

Ability to operate basic office and audio-visual equipment.
Ability to accurately perform alphabetizing, record-keeping and filing procedures.
Ability to accurately transfer, record and convey information and materials, as required by the position.
Ability to abide by the confidentiality rights of students and parents.
Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists in implementation of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), any and all aspects, as outlined by the classroom teacher, EI/ECSE Program Manager and Superintendent. This includes assisting children with personal care needs and following any medical or feeding protoco
Assists with field trips and assemb
Assists in the maintenance of an attractive and clean learning environm
Assists in data keeping as prescribed by classroom teacher, Program Manager and/or Superintend
Assists in preparation of teaching aids and/or material
Assists in implementing behavioral programs under direction of classroom teacher, EI/ECSE Program Manager and/or Superintendent.
Maintains strict confidentiality. Does not relate any information to parents or other personnel outside the school environm Refers all inquiries to classroom teacher, EI/ECSE Program Manager and/or Superintendent.
Meets frequently with classroom teacher, EI/ECSE Program Manager, pre-school consultant and/or service coordinator for purposes of planning or evaluation of instruction.
Attends all required meetings called by the classroom teacher, EI/ECSE Program Manager, or Superintend
Functions as an integral member of the building staff and is responsible to classroom teacher, EI/ECSE Program Manager, and/or Superintend
Must establish and maintain a positive working relationship with ESD and district personn
