Job Description : Overview
The Education Program Manager is primarily responsible for developing, overseeing and directly executing educational programs in order to deepen youth, family, and community engagement with Hitsville Next and the Motown Museum in fulfilment of the museum?s mission.
Essential Functions
Oversee and execute existing educational programming initiatives such as but not limited to Hitsville NEXT Summer Camps: Spark & Ignite; Lyric Project; Entrpreneur in Residence Program; and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Black History month Educational Programming; and contribute to the ongoing development of curriculum objectives designed to support key educational programming presented of Hitsville NEXT.
Serve as point of contact for the Museum’s community youth and school partnerships.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors conceptualize and create new digital content for various outlets including web, in-gallery interactive projects, mobile apps, social media and other outlets.
Upgrade existing educational material and develop new educational content like, but not limited to, commercials, sizzle reels, and educational program highlights.
Collaborate with internal and external evaluators to track and report program participation and demographics, make continual improvements to programs, and measure program outcomes and impacts.
Continually monitor programs, instructors, contractors, and volunteers for quality assurance and program relevance to the state and national standards and best practices in youth development.
Schedule and supervise programming contract teaching artists, instructors, camp counselors, guest speakers, and volunteers.
Represent Motown Museum at community and professional meetings, conferences and speaking engagements that support the Museum?s mission.
Support Museum community programming and exhibition/installation efforts and find opportunities for overlap; offer creative input and solutions.
