Job Description : Financial Accountant / Management Accountant with strong financial reporting and experience working within a finance department in a similar position is required for a leading SAP Supply Chain Technology Consultancy.

SALARY: up to £45,000 per annum + Benefits including Private Healthcare

LOCATION: Hybrid Working / 1 to 2 Days in the Office in Skelmersdale and the other days working remotely from home.

Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Skelmersdale

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Financial Accountant / Management Accountant with strong financial reporting and experience working within a finance department in a similar position.

Working as a Financial Accountant / Management Accountant alongside the Head of Finance, you will be a critical member of the Finance Team, responsible for the production of statutory and financial reporting, ensuring the strength of the Finance function and financial controls, maintaining compliance and financial governance and helping to co-ordinate the day-to-day finance operations.

As a Financial Accountant / Management Accountant you will be involved in the preparation of quarterly accounts for foreign subsidiaries. With the company’s expansion into international markets comes a whole host of other opportunities as the company grows. There could be the opportunity to become the Financial Accountant for specific business units, help shape the department as the department grows and have Line Management responsibility should this interest you.

As a Financial Accountant / Management Accountant you may also be involved in change management projects, overseeing internal changes from a financial perspective, driving change such as new systems or processes, and helping manage audit requirements.

DUTIES

Leading preparation of weekly and monthly financial KPI Reporting

Preparation of quarterly and annual accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules

Preparation of Quarterly accounts for an Australian subsidiary

Ensuring transactions are recorded, filed and reported in line with statutory requirements

Supporting the annual budget and forecasting process, liaising with Heads of Departments

Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns

Ensure accurate processing of payroll

Maintaining financial integrity through the production of accurate reporting

Undertaking ad-hoc data analysis and reporting across the business

Banking, cashflow and accounts payable management

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:
Experience working within a finance department in a similar position

Strong technical financial reporting understanding

Experience of Accounting and payroll software such as QuickBooks, Sage or SAP

ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or equivalent

English & Math’s GCSE or equivalent grade C or above

Desirable:
Experience of producing quarterly and annual statutory accounts

Experience of submitting VAT Returns and processing payroll
