Milk Education have been given the task from a local primary school within the Speke area of L24 to find the very best 1-2-1 learning support assistant to support a child in YR1 on a full time basis Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30. This primary school is looking for an SEND specialist to join their team throughout the Spring AND Summer term to support a child within YR1 with ASD.

The role of the SEND learning support assistant, will be to support the learning and development of the pupil whilst actively supporting behaviour and social skills. You will be working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other teaching assistants within the class to provide the best level of care and support to the Child.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30-3.30. Please note- due to the nature of this role, please only apply if you can commit to the days and hours specified.

This role is start IMMEDIATELY on a long term basis, continuing until at least July 2022 and potentially longer/become a permanent member of staff for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring safeguarding is kept to a high standard throughout the day
Supporting the Child and building that relationship
Uphold a strong classroom presence whilst supporting all pupils

Required Skills & Experience:

Previous and recent experience of working in a Primary or SEND School or any Education/residential setting
Strong behaviour management with a flexible approach
Enthusiastic, creative and passionate delivery of curriculum
Bright, positive, dedicated and inspiring personality
Hold a relevant teaching assistant or childcare qualification (Level 1, 2 or Level 3) or relevant experience please also apply
Have previous experience within the past last two years
Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
