MishiPay (https://mishipay.com/) was founded in 2015 by Mustafa Khanwala (/in) and Tanvi Bhardwaj (/in), bringing the best of the online checkout experience to physical stores. We do this with our Scan, Pay and Go experience on our native apps, or our web app that doesn’t require any download. Shoppers can scan the products they wish to buy in store using their own phone and pay instantly. This eradicates the need to wait in line. About The Role
We are looking for a results obsessed Senior Business Development Manager to join our team on a short-term contract, who is excited about developing MishiPay’s business across Dubai where we see the perfect mix of shop and shopper demographics. You’ll be asked to bring in one client in your time with us, and on this basis, the contract may extend.
Your incredible Sales track record will be within leading edge tech businesses. You’ll have sold software (ideally SaaS) solulutions to Dubai/MEA retailers.
You’ll be a self-starter, ambitious and keen to succeed, and your achievements will speak for themselves. You’ll love the thought of working in a well-funded tech startup that’s growing and gaining significant market traction. You will:
Plan an achievable and realistic short-term Sales strategy and target client list. Because you’ll be so aware of the market, you’ll be able to suggest and approach the most receptive retailers quickly.
Reach out to retailers of varying sizes and channels across the UAE. You’ll develop innovative and exciting ways to develop relationships in order to close one retailer with MishiPay and also plan for the future.
Manage at least one retail clent through all aspects of the Sales cycle working closely with the team.
Provide competitor and market insights and analysis in order to align future customers to our strategy.
Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize our growth & analyze ROI to demonstrate the viability & sustainability of our product.
Represent and tell the MishiPay story at external events, shows & conferences, if relevant.
Liaise with our internal Finance function to monitor budgets & timescales.
Requirements
About you:
You MUST have worked within a growing tech environment, selling to retailers. Your experience will include the following:
Strong and insightful knowledge and experience that’ll help us align our Sales and delivery strategy with the right retailers and ultimately, consumers.
An innate ability to identify and follow up opportunities. You’ll have built significant revenue through a multitude of Sales channels.
Production of detailed Sales proposals & presentations. You’ll have presented to senior level execs and be able to utilize your energy, charisma & communication skills to drive new sales.
Experience within an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and an ability to think on your feet.
Compilation of relevant project reports, budget management & forecasting.
Highly numerate & IT literate, with impeccable spoken and written language skills. You’ll be able to utilize MS Office to a high level, and maintain sales related CRM systems.
