Job Description : Skill: DataStage AdministratorExperience: 6+ YearsJob Description:Experience: 6-9 years of related rational tools admin experience Job Detail: DataStage admin is responsible for managing SSGA DataStage environment and conducting admin tasks. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Technology Support, Administer and maintain the existing DataStage environment. Participate in infrastructure initiatives including life cycle upgrades and patches Participate in root cause analysis for incidents as appropriate. Analyze existing Infrastructure and DataStage jobs, ensuring bestpractices are being followed, and recommending short term and long term improvement roadmap. Implement procedures for maintenance, monitoring, backup, and recovery operations for the ETL environment.. Apply fixes, patches and Service Packs as required and provided, keeping the DS environment up-to-date. Maintain ownership of release activities which interact with ETL projects. Work with Prod Support to maintain and administer the ETL deployment environment. Communication Communicate with end users Report status on all assigned work. Evaluate process and suggest improvements. Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned work for later reference. Team representation on various regular meetings like ITOPS, Change Management etc. Operations Provide consistent follow-up on incidents/changes until long term objectives are completed. Setup and enforce policies and procedures for smooth BAU functioning. Assesses current technical architecture; estimate system capacityfor near- and long-term processing requirements Available for rotational on-call support Audit responses and meetings. Supports and troubleshoots production systems, optimizing performance, resolving production problems, and providing timely follow-up on problem reports related to Datastage env. Own Backup and DR process for DataStage Environment. Must be ready for Shift timing : 2-11 pm IndiaJob Type: Full-timeExperience:total work: 6 years (Preferred)Relevant: 5 years (Preferred)
