Job Description : This role will actively lead the Product and Data team (PDT) in the architecture, design, development and operational monitoring of HealthUnlocked’s core systems and applications, managing a team of Software Engineers, SDETs, and DevOps Engineers.This is a hands-on role, with dual reporting, direct to the HealthUnlocked GM and dotted line to the parent company CTO.Your responsibilities will include: Collaboratively develop high-level product and technical specifications, and ensure they appropriately address functionality, system integration, security, performance, and feasibility.Define and ensure the use of appropriate technology, workflow, and coding standards.Oversee and manage all operational aspects of cloud architecture, including planned maintenance, upgrades, performance monitoring, and incident response.Provide third line/escalation support during office hours and for Out of Hours (OoH) support.Ensure appropriate information security processes are implemented and maintained.Assist with completing vendor security and risk assessments for clients.Work closely with senior management on all technology-related business needs and determine staffing and resource needs.Your key strengths include: Ability to apply appropriate, cost-effective technology solutions to business problems.Demonstrated technical acumen.Proven experience with all stages of the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC).Experience architecting, developing, testing, and supporting Web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms.Experience implementing and maintaining continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and associated DevOps tooling and practices (e.g., Infrastructure as Code, observability, rapid feedback loops).Knowledge of information security & privacy best practices.Experience with healthcare companies.Experience interfacing directly with suppliers and clients.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.Proven experience managing a team of 10 or more.Technical skills: Programming: Clojure, HTML/CSS, React, GitPlatform: AWS (including EC2, ECS, S3), Docker, Infrastructure as Code tools (ideally Terraform), CI/CD toolsDatabase: MySQL, ElasticSearch, AWS Redshift, RedisOther: Jira, Microsoft Office, Linux/MacOSAdditional experience & qualifications Demonstrable experience in a senior engineering / development role.Demonstrable experience at mid-level to senior management.Demonstrable experience in matrix organizations.Computer science degree or equivalent formal qualification or professional experience.This job description does not provide a comprehensive listing of duties, responsibilities, or activities that are required of the employee for this position.
