Job Summary
EIIC – Power Quaity Division (PQD-ES Americas) has an opening for a Web Developer. The Engineer will be involved in design & development of embedded software projects encompassing functionality from web-page display creations, applications development, cybersecurity feature implementation, and cloud device connectivity for a UPS.
We are looking for an Engineer who can develop the next-generation technology solutions that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and devices. If you get excited about building new things & work on creation of platforms for product applications and aren’t daunted by the challenge of designing and building something from scratch, then our team might be your next career step. You will be responsible for coding, innovative design and layout of iOS and Android based displays that wirelessly control UPS and inverters.
You will design embedded systems, generate IP, plan and execute iterations and work closely with the product team to write clean, maintainable and efficient code. You will design robust, scalable and secure features and contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
Create website layout/user interface by using standard Angular/React/HTML5/CSS practices.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
Work directly with stakeholders, engineering and test to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical and customer needs. Remote assignments from parent location in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities. Be responsible for maintaining, expanding and scaling our site.
Provide work estimates and conduct code reviews. Create and maintain software documentation.
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices – test driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM and JIRA.
Qualifications
Requirement:
Education level required
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
Years and area of experience required
3 – 5 years
Technical knowledge
2+ years of programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML5/Javascript/Angular/React JS/CSS
Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript,JQuery,Ext Js.
2+ years of experience utilizing highly interactive web applications.
2+ years of experience with version control (GIT, SVN).
2+ years of experience with REST API or SQL.
1+ years of experience in the development of software for network-enabled communication protocols – Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, BACNet is preferred. will be a plus.
Familiarity with Android/iOS platforms and mobile applications utilizing Progressive Web Apps, Apache Cordova or similar modules.
Experience in scripting language like Shell script, Python/Perl.
Has built and/or configured 3rd party Linux packages
Experience in Unit testing with frameworks like Jasmine/Karma/Jest
Experience working with static code analysis tools like Coverity, Blackduck, etc.
Sound knowledge of Devops pipeline Azure / Bamboo, Bitbucket.
Experience in an Agile design methodology.
Strong debugging skills.
Desired :
Experience working on device level connectivity platforms through IoT, Cloud (Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.)
Good knowledge of relational databases like MongoDB, SQL, etc.”
