Job Description : BDS are currently recruiting for a Financial services Manager based in Dorking.The RoleThe position is to be based working from home with occasional travel to the Dorking office Surrey.· Setting and monitoring the Council’s budgets and reporting the outturn position· Closure of the accounts at year-end and producing the statement of accounts· Treasury management strategy, outturn and the day-to-day treasury activities.· Accounting for taxation· Statutory financial returns are completed.About youSignificant post qualification experience of working in a local government finance environment at a senior level.Experience of providing financial advice to senior managers and councillors, in writing and also in person when at meetings.Proven experience of successfully managing teams and able to demonstrate good practice in performance management including how to motivate staff and deal effectively with difficult issues.Experience of using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word at an intermediate level.Experience of using financial management systems e.g. Integra, SAP, Agresso etc.Professional accountancy qualification, preferably with CIPFA or with another CCAB member (ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, Chartered Accountants Ireland) or CIMA.This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week, Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm. (flexible) Mainly based from home but with some occasional travel to the Dorking office. Initially a temporary ongoing position for around 6 months with good chance of becoming permanent.Pay rate (depending on experience) £28.53 – £30.82 PAYE per hour£35.75 – £38.67 UMB per hourJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryContract length: 6 monthsSalary: £28.53-£30.82 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (preferred)Experience:Management: 3 years (required)Reference ID: Financial services Manager
