GDS Markets, BMC and AWS service (GDS MBA), part of EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), provides services to its internal EY customers through its capabilities in Creative Agency Services, Learning Solution Services, Translation Services and Administrative and Workplace Services. Learning Solution Services (LSS) is a Service Function within this group that provides Learning Consulting and Analysis as well as Design and development of various learning solutions including eLearning, Instructor Led Training (ILT), Micro-learning and Mobile learning. Considering the growing demand from our EY customers in these areas, we are expanding our capabilities and solutions to support the organization’s learning needs.
In light of this demand, we now require a Lead HTML 5 developer/Web Designer who will be responsible for working with other members of the Graphics, Instructional and Technical design teams for developing learning solutions.
The Lead HTML 5 Developer is expected to be a highly motivated individual who practices team work and actively spends time developing his/ her team and should be experienced in modern Web technologies appropriate for online learning with ability to design for multiple delivery methods including Mobile and Web Based Learning modules.
Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications – External
Essential Functions of the Job:
Expert in developing E learning course with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery
Good experience in responsive Web development, and Adaptive Web Designing
Experience in working with LMS, SCORM compliance courses will be added advantage
Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash
Strong knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery.
Knowledge of JQuery based frameworks (like bootstrap JS, angular JS, knockout JS, underscore JS etc.) experience would be a big plus.
Ability to visualize designs that enable learners to easily understand the content and engage them in their learning
Experience in designing for all devices including computers, tablets and mobile handsets
Must be a hands-on designer, experienced in developing solutions using software tools
Monitors workflow to identify bottle necks and takes required corrective and preventive actions
Experience in designing learning solutions based on client requirements
Previous experience in designing for game and simulation-based learning solutions
Knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy and other adult learning principles will be an added advantage
Knowledge on eLearning course development life cycle, effort required for each graphic element of a course and improving productivity of the team through reusable assets, efficient use of tools, guidance, coaching and setting targets
Pursues and shares best practices within the team and among other teams
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Interacts effectively and coordinates with various service teams in GSS to ensure client deadlines are met
The role requires someone who can manage number of concurrent activities, with strong multi-tasking, prioritization, organizational and time management skills
Proficient in design tools and is aware of new design techniques and tools that can substantially improve the learning and/ or visual appeal of the eLearning course
Team management
Experience in developing and leading high-performance teams
Manage multiple, simultaneous projects
Inspire the team to perform above their capabilities and accept new challenges
Interpersonal skills
Good written and oral communication skills in English
A strong leader who is comfortable working collaboratively with others
Responsible for recruiting and on-boarding Graphic Designers and ability to lead the team
Must be able to work virtually, and independently
Respond well to deadlines and work outside of normal hours when required
Comfortable working on a number of concurrent activities
Able to work in a rapidly changing environment and prioritize accordingly
Able to travel, if required
