Job Description : We are looking for enthusiastic Outreach maths Teachers to work with students on a 1:1 basis at their houses or the local library. Roles will consist of supporting children with SEN or additional needs.
This exciting new opportunity will see the suitable candidate working alongside students who may have been excluded, have medical needs, temporarily lacking a school place, be a teen parent, young offender, traveller, or out of permanent school-setting educational provision for another reason. This role will be rewarding, enabling and facilitating learning outside of the classroom which will allow creative delivery and tailored lesson planning to suit the needs of the individual.
You will need to have experience teaching in the secondary phase and knowledge of special educational needs. Your responsibilities involve a range of interventions which include consultation, observation, joint planning, feedback and advice to staff. You will work with individual students, small groups and offer whole class support. You will be expected to maintain appropriate records and be responsible for administrative work in the areas of planning, monitoring and reviewing.
QTS desirable
Excellent behaviour management skills
Engaging with students
Driving desirable
1:1 Teaching experience
Outstanding National Curriculum knowledge
At least 2 year’s teaching or tutoring experience in the UK
