The Marketing team at Shopee is responsible for conceptualising and implementing go-to-market activities to achieve increased usage and visibility. The team covers areas including Campaigns Management, Community, Public Relations, Partnerships, Offline Marketing and Design. The Regional Marketing team is responsible for strategising and implementing go-to-market activities and working with local teams to localise marketing for the specific markets. The Brand and Growth Marketing team covers all aspects of online and performance marketing for the region. Job Description:
This role will work closely with local and regional stakeholders overseeing seller marketing and management as well as the product development supporting these marketing initiatives
Create local seller feature communications (e.g. seller education documents, in-app banners, push notifications) to optimise adoption among different seller segments.
Evaluate the effectiveness of seller feature initiatives and communication through regular data analysis and reporting
Coordinate with various mature and new emerging markets to establish and grow seller marketing features, which includes regular support of feature UATs
Conduct ad-hoc studies to understand the impact of feature releases and assess the competitive landscape
Review feature releases, campaign initiatives, and local market requests to ensure initiatives are aligned to product and business roadmaps
Support the conceptualisation of targeting tactics and look at different markets and seller segments to drive seller adoption and performance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Good business acumen, especially in the context of e-commerce and sellers
Experience in product marketing, marketing communications, seller management, CRM, or consulting, who understands:
Feature and/or business roadmap planning and implementation
User acquisition strategy and GTM tactics
Basic understanding of seller operational management
Good analytical skills, who can structure an analytical framework to understand a problem/ analyse performance from scratch and identify actionable insights from data
Strong written and verbal communication skills, who can describe new features / initiatives with clarity and conciseness
Growth mindset, who is willing to learn product/ other technical context to improve features and achieve business goals
Proven results and track record in leading CRM initiatives or product marketing projects on digital / e-commerce platforms
Past experience / exposure to product management in internet companies would be relevant
Previous experience in companies / teams that require frequent data-driven decision making
Experience in working in cross-functional roles would be beneficial
