Job Description : Candidates applying for the role would be dealing with children with learning difficulties, emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, mental health problems and /or complex needs between the ages of 9 and 18. Candidates applying for this role would ideally have previous experience in the field and NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People.You will be required to work in partnership with the local/placing authorities, parents or carers, and other agencies. The main focus of the job is to support the integration of young people back into their parental homes.Job purpose:To provide day to day care of children and young people within an environment of pro-social learning that promotes positive attachments and relationshipsTo support young people in maximising their potential in a safe and caring environmentTo achieve the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the Children’s Homes National Minimum StandardsEssential requirementsAt least 1-year recent experience in a relevant field. Understanding and knowledge of the issues faced by this client group.Experience in personal care. Knowledge of Child in Need, Child Protection, and LAC plans.Creative approach to empowering clients to achieve positive outcomes. Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the clientsCommitment to the care and well-being of clients.
